Review Of A Vr Game Experience: Oculus First Contact

The University of Portsmouth provided virtual reality glasses and instructed us to use them. We also had to play the “Oculus 1 Contact” game, which introduces you to virtual reality. The tutorial was sufficient for me as it was my first experience with Virtual Reality glasses.

“Oculus First contact” teaches the basics of how to use the controller. You can pick up objects, shoot guns, and insert cassettes into machines for “surprise” results. I was very happy with the experience. It was completely different from what I expected. It brought back memories of my childhood, when I would purchase a new video game and couldn’t wait to get it. It was funny because i tried to interact while playing with my coworkers. It was quite scary to hear sounds from the real-world while no one was within my view. It was simple to follow the instructions and it was very easy to play. For me, the part where you get a gun from a cassette was my favorite. My andrenaline reached its peak and was able to shoot targets like a madman. Oculus is easy to use and allows you to feel comfortable touching and holding it. The motion controller is widely regarded as being one of best on the marketplace. It was almost like real-life resolution. There was absolutely no pixelation, lag or poor quality to the effects. However, I find the disadvantages to be less important than the benefits. First, I experienced headaches after twenty minutes of play. Additionally, there is limited space so you may have to crash into objects or people to get to certain materials. It was difficult to adjust the lenses and focus properly. Also, the headset is not comfortable and feels cheap. For a better experience, I think the headset should be worn over your ear. The headset is heavy on the head and causes headaches.

I would not buy a virtual-reality system if I didn’t have the funds or time. It is not mandatory. Gaming on a PC or console is sufficient to satisfy gaming needs. Virtual reality, however, is a great experience that can’t be sustained long-term. It is worth trying at least once.
